Light, red fruit driven, great acidity. Best paired with two complete goofballs

I love experiencing this side of Grenache. With so many boozy, high-extract fruit bombs coming out of Spain these days it’s easy to forget what this wonderful varietal can express in its mother country. Bright cherries and subtle floral aromatics. Snappy acidity, great freshness, lovely purity. VA is a tad elevated on the nose, red fruits and white pepper take over the mid palate. A bit reminiscent of Pinot Noir in terms of palate weight and overall mouthfeel impact. Very pretty and lifted. I’m a big fan of this producer, and I find this “entry level” cuvée to be the most charming.
