Reduced and gassy but blew off. Very fruit-driven.

the 2021 Barbera d'Alba is soft, fruity and very easy to like. Crushed rose petal, sweet red berries, cinnamon, orange peel and mint are all very nicely lifted. This understated, supple Barbera is a winner. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2022)

Quite deep ruby , with a narrow bright pink rim . Inviting nose of wild ripe red and dark fruits , touch of spice and dried herbs and slate . On the palate fresh but fills out well with nice fresh summer fruits , that lick of spice and a saline like finish . Nicely balanced and fresh , with no lack of density . Really enjoyable and well made . This probably will improve over a few years as well , so from now and over the next 5-8 years perhaps.
