Limpid, green-tinged yellow. Mineral- and spice-tinged citrus and orchard fruit scents are complemented by deeper melon and peach flourishes. Vibrant and precise on the palate, offering sappy Meyer lemon, pear, quinine and honeysuckle flavors and a touch of bitter peach pit. Heady, perfume-like aromas of peaches, nutmeg, white flowers, citrus peel, and slight petrol and oyster shells. Straddles the line between old and new world Riseling notes, but lacks the viscosity of an Alsatian wine. Lingering, slight effervescent finish. I'd rate it higher based on the exquisite bouquet, but the odd finish at the end turns me off a bit.
