A distinct aroma of apricot, entry is a rush of intense hops followed by a breadth of flavors including pine cone, chestnut, fresh baked sourdough/yeast and a savory almost deli meat quality. Medium acidity and crispness with noticeable minerality. Always worth a quaff when you can get it.

Perfect, original, legendary, double IPA. Lots now like it, but there can only be one Hopfather.

The one and only, Pliny The Elder, hard to find if you are not here on the west coast, King of the IPA's , is it worth all the hype and trouble, I would sincerely say yes, you are still a beer geek virgin if you have not had this, it is so well balanced with big hops, citrus and tropical notes, truly a remarkable beer, there other beers that come very close to this perfection , but fall just slightly below the high bar this beer has set, I have this on tap at my favorite brewery, if you follow my posts you know where that is, now Pliny The Younger, that is a little more hard to get, you need to buy a ticket for that, after a few times, I got one, will review that one soon, the best way to get this beer outside of the area it is brewed in, Soma, is beer trades with other beer geeks, I will trade this for Hop Slam, Heady Topper, Zombie Dust, those are some of the more popular trades from West Coast to East Coast beer geeks, well worth seeking out, not impossible to get, not like the "Younger"

It is what they say it is... Use your connections to buy up local supply, take your haul of 2 bottles and enjoy! Hops = fruit aroma and bitter palate. The best ale ...ever?
