Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2008

Rereleased from the winery. The nose clearly shows significant development, and aromas of ripe, maturing red berries and darker loam notes waft from the glass. On the palate, the smoky, dark red fruit has largely integrated with the structural elements to result in wine with a silky and supple texture, but that still has notable density and concentration. When first opened, the finish shows a bitter baker’s chocolate note, but that resolves with air. That said, the wine overall would not suffer from another 2-5 years in the cellar. It’s a rare treat that should be decanted at this stage.

Not worth the price. Alas. Decent Willamette Pinot but there are lots of less expensive wines that are its equal or better.

果味,丰富有层次,很年轻,再过2年喝更好,收口略涩

I usually write off this producer, but this was lovely pinot.
