Ayres Vineyard Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014

At this price point, few wines can boast the same level of complexity, concentration, and mid-term aging potential. Winemaker Brad McElroy's 2014 bottling shows very good richness and concentration, a dark red fruit profile that hints at blackberries, a modest smattering of fine tannin, and a quaffable personality that makes drinking this now sheer pleasure. If you hold it for the next year, I guarantee it will taste even better. But I'm betting you can't wait that long.

On the nose, red fruit, earth and oak. On the palate, tart cherry and strawberry. Too much acid for me.
