P. Lancelot-Royer Cuvée de Reserve Brut Blanc de Blancs NV
A glorious blanc de blancs Champagne, pure Chardonnay from the chalky grand cru- and premier cru-rated vineyards of Cramant in the Côte de Blancs. Base vintage 2018, with some 30% reserve wine -- what complexity, what soul! Aged in oak cask before bottling; then four years in bottle. 10 grams/L dosage. Bright citrus aromas, with brioche and warm spice; broad and juicy and long, with incredible energy. A decadent aperitif or perfect companion for a holiday meal. It will age wonderfully for years, if you can resist its charms today. (And at this price? Indulge -- the holidays are here!)

A beautiful and fresh Cramant RM bottle. A nose like shortbread and vanilla sugar, with acacia. Long finish of quince, baked pear tart and dry lees. Very fine. Bottled 02/23/11 and disgorged 05/15/13 Vintage mix unknown.
