Eric Louis Cave de Gortona Pinot Noir 2021
Pinot Noir shines on the richly mineral soils outside of Sancerre, and is the region’s red wine (and value) secret! This fruity, summer-ripe red is grown on the banks of the Loire River in Saint-Thibault, a spot where ancient Roman ruins show that even in antiquity, this region was prized for its terroir. All tank made.

Not much going for it with the label. Saw somewhere this was from the Loire Valley. Relatively dark for French Pinot Noir. Smells a bit stemy with the fruit notes. Hint of funk. Flavors are nice. Bitter bite. Fruit of the vine, cane and bramble. Hint of cola. Tart. This fits nicely in the Pinot from around the world. Fresh and juicy.
