Without question the most impressive wine we tasted with Thierry. Sourced from part of Rugiens called Les Rugiens Bas.andnbsp; This is the section of Rugiens that some argue should be classified Grand Cru.andnbsp;Very aromatic and expressive nose of rose petals, dark cherries and gun metal. On the palate it is concentrated, powerful, mineral-driven and still it glides across the palate with no hard edges despite the obvious and present tannins. You certainly feel the power of the clay here, but with Thierry's delicate touch it is not over the top. This wine blew me away and was impossible to spit! It is so balanced you could enjoy today or over the next 20+ years. Drink now till 2036+.
