Coming along brilliantly. A massive wave of petrol after pouring, which washes away and reveals a lean, crystal wine, as always devoid of offending pyrazine given Chavignol terroir. So great!

Too me this was a much more generous style of Sancerre. Acidity is rounded, minerality is very polished but still chalky in character. Fruit driven by ripe grapefruit and citrus blossom and a delicate herbaceous character similar to chervil.

2012 Gérard Boulay Sancerre à Chavignol - Just delicious. Mineral, citrus and melon with a long finish. Great with the halibut at Bar Agricole.

Strawberry, slightly tropical nose. Feels sweet, then cleans up bone dry.

Has a lot going on, but a little light for my tastes.

Floral with a dry finish - dried cherries and pomegranate, without the sweetness.
