Domaine Monier-Perreol is a partnership between Jean-Pierre Monier based in the village of Saint-Desirat and his close friend Philippe Perrandeacute;ol. Both were earlier adopters of Biodynamic farming practices, with Jean-Pierre incorporating them as early as 1996, eventually encouraging themandnbsp;to cease selling fruit to the local co-op and begin domaine bottling in 2001.andnbsp; Now they stand as some of the most exciting, and certainly some of our favorite, St. Joseph on the market today. Terre Blanche is named for the veins of white clay that streak this vineyard that help the soil retain moisture in dry vintages.andnbsp;80% Destemmed, aged 11 months in a mix of barrels and tonneaux, and 70% of the larger casks are new.andnbsp; This is arguably Monier's most exciting cuvandeacute;e and one that we clamor for every year.
