On the nose; lightly perfume pink roses, spring wild flowers, lean fruits with a slight gummy bear character, strawberries, watermelon near the rhine, cherries, candied red apple, orange citruses, beautiful chalkiness, strong volcanic minerals and sea spray. The body is full, round, thick and a touch gluey. Lean fruits with a slight gummy bear character, strawberries, watermelon near the rhine, cherries, candied red apple, orange citruses, beautiful chalkiness, volcanic minerals and sea spray with lightly perfume pink roses, spring wild flowers. The acidity is round and full. The finish is well polished...thick, gluey and waxy. It’s elegant and very easy to drink. The only thing that I struggle with this wine is the minerality is a bit heavy for my tastes. It’s gritty minerals dig deep into the palate on the long finish. But, I still appreciate it as it’s a good contrast to other Bandol Rosés. Like, Tempier and Chateau Pibarnon Bandol etc.. Photos of, Domaine Gris du Nore and grounds, their field hands harvesting, tasting room and the most amazing field of Lavender I’ve seen.

A slight bitter note on the finish detracts here. Solid.

First rose of the season. Opened it with tuna tataki on the grill. Nice dose of acidity and a nose of rose petals and strawberry. It is a rose so was not expecting to be blown away. The bottle was finished in a blink of an eye.

Agree with the wolf in sheep’s clothing note. Bright as a diamond. Stellar with spicy mushroom pizza.

Solid Bandol Rosé. Dry. Somewhat austere. A tiny bit of bitterness on the finish.

Orange peel and strawberry. Savory finish with lots of structure.

Excellent. Not Tempier level seriousness but this is damn good rose. Mineral, bright fruit, lively acidity. Great juice.

Lunch wine. But keep it cold or the alcohol comes out of balance
