If you are a fan of serious red wine from Northern Italy, you simply cannot affordandnbsp;to ignore Alto Piemonte. Colombera andamp; Garella produce some of the best wines in the region and their Costa della Sesia is the perfect intro to this great estate. The Costa Della Sesia appellation covers the land to the west of the Sesia river, overlaying both the areas of Lessona and Bramaterra. This wine has a higher portion of Croatina and Vespolina than Candamp;Gand#39;s two cru bottlings and is easier to enjoy in its youth. This wine is 65% Nebbiolo, 20% Croatina and 15% Vespolina from 5ha of 40-year-old vines planted on yellow volcanic soils. Spicy, refreshing andamp; irresistible little wine.

N: Lots of tar and cured leather on the nose, a bit of mint. Balsamic dipped strawberries, gravel, lots of interesting aromas coming up.like when you sit on an old, dusty, cracked red leather couch. P: At first crack, all leather and tar with grippy tannins, as it airs, some dark cherries and loam, lots of crisp but assertive fruits, dark berries. Shines w protein. A great treat from Alto-Piedmonte. 12.5° 70% Nebbiolo, 15% each Vespolina and Croatina.Well done! From@chambersstwines.
