Chateau Simone is synonymous withandnbsp;Palette, a unique microclimate within Provence where the Rougier family founded this great estate centuries ago.andnbsp; The estates vineand#39;s, some of which are over 100 years old,andnbsp;are planted on 20 hectares of limestone soil surrounded by wild pine forests and Mediterranean shrubland. The most unique wine at Simone and perhaps the calling card of the estate is their rosandeacute;; fermented and aged in a mix of foudres and concrete eggs for a minimum of 12 months this is much more than a summertime quaffer.andnbsp; Rich fruit is lent depth by flavors of earth and garrigue backed by zippy acidity and just a touch of tannin.andnbsp; The Palette Rosandeacute; from Chateau Simone always continues to improve for many years after it is released and is perhaps best when 5-10 years out.

A rose for the ages. This is NOT a pop-and-pour. This is a wine that you age then decent and marvel at its brilliance. Fairly weighty, dusty smoky cranberries and strawberries faint hint of citrus. Nice tannic end with acidity around the edges.

Singular as far as roses go. Even Tempier ain’t young at two years. Smoked strawberries. Cherry. Superb acid. Little tannin. Unique. Tart little blueberries, but the funky ones. Needs time

So tight even after 6 hours of air. Really singular. Not much in common with its Provençal brethren (sistren?). Cranberry, rose petals, cherry heering. Massive tannins, little discernible heat. Angular. Attenuated nose. Hold for now, but if you must drink, decant the day before. Fun wine to geek out on.

Wow, game changer Rose for me. Rhone style blend with all of the puzzle pieces in the right place. Would be interested to try this again with more age. Expensive Rose but glad I got ahold of a bottle. Check out the color.
