Château Le Puy Emilien Côtes de Francs Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

$52.99

Chateau Le Puy is property perched on a high point in Bordeaux' right bank that is in the 14th generation of ownership by the Amoreau family.andnbsp; It is a rare property in Bordeaux that makes classically styled wines utilizing natural methods; they are certified biodynamic in their vineyards, ferment all their wines with native yeasts, never fine or filter their wines, and only add sulfur post fermentation. The 100-hectare property is evenly divided between vineyards and natural fields and forests as a way to maintain biological diversity.andnbsp; The Emilien is around 85% Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon making up the balance of the blend.andnbsp; The wine is fermented in concrete and is aged for 2 years in barrel, both large and small but never any new.andnbsp; Le Puy's Emilien is routinely one of the most graceful Bordeaux wines on our shelves, showcasing ripe red fruit, silky textures, and uncommon lift.
