Pear, peach, elderflower. Good freshness but with warmth and depth. Very good indeed.

The nose takes on really good range with ripe pear, kumquat and nutmeg accents with gooseberry. The texture is light and beautifully layered with vanilla cream, bright pear and pineapple flavors, giving this an exotic edge. Rich and layered, this gorgeous effort will cellar well over the next five to eight years. Drink 2019-2026- 93

Ending the summer on the Cape, I went to a Fav. Pale yellow with pleasing aromas of citrus and peaches. One of the few barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc's which adds a wonderful toasty oak flavor setting this wine apart from the rest. Complex palate of flavors, fresh fruit, lemons, grapefruit, peaches and Asian pears. Slight earthiness with a smooth and creamy well balanced finish ending with a gentle sweet character. Very nice! Consistent quality! Thanks Merry Edwards!!

Pale golden hue. Strong citrus and tropical fruit notes, such as Meyer lemon, mango, pineapple. Dusty stone and delicate minerality. Balanced on the palate and complementary of the rich ricotta, mozzarella, and romano cheese ravioli and sautéed shrimp, with cherry tomatoes and arugula. Vintage 2018. ABV 14.2%. .

2018 vintage. Wonderful smooth creamy mouth feel. Soft, not overwhelming fruit. Really enjoying it with a shrimp risotto

On the nose, very typical of good SB. On the palate, quality was high, but the SB more subtle, almost implied vs overly overt. Very mellow for a 3 year white. Balance was exquisite. I liked it.
