Both bottles decanted 90 minutes and coated in sediment. My first observation was how much the color differed from other vintages. Where almost all other vintages featured a deep purple color these bottles were a striking shade of red. Intense scents of leather and hot road tar. In the mouth figs, coffee, leather and maturing fruit. One cannot discuss Galardi with out commenting on tannins. As always they are present and big but never did I find them intrusive.

The nose is fantastic. The palate has Seen more vibrant times, but the fruit and the body of the wine are still wonderful.
