Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

$134$107.20

The 2010 Grand Puy Lacoste 2010 is composed of majority grape varietal cabernet sauvignon which offers a deep red color. The bouquet reveals very ripe blackcurrant perfumes, slightly spiced revealing the beautiful maturity of the grapes. The attack on the palate grows louder and louder, suave then dense and continues with a powerful well balanced tannic structure. The structure of the wine is precise and complex and coated with a beautiful freshness and a very long aromatic persistence.

A stunning wine with exquisite balance of cassis, blackberry and black cherry fruit and a panoply of savory notes including violet, leather, cigar box and cedar. A beautiful wine entering a period of gradually maturing drinkability

Incredible depth. Plum and black currants, touches of cedar. Showing well with 10 years under its belt. I see it continuing to age well over the next ten.

Needs a healthy decant and non hotel glass. Still tight, could go a few more years. But after some swirls and last glass, really elegant and fine tannins. Almost ripe blackberry and currant. Integrated oaky spice and long finish.

Dark colour. Intense cherry note with a hint of oak. Ripe, soft, balanced and sweet tannins and yet with descent acidity that gives it a bit of freshness. After taste isn't long, not lingering.
