Château d'Yquem Y Ygrec Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2016 (1500ml)
Y is produced from the same outstanding terroir and vines as Chateau d'Yquem. Althoughwork in the vineyard is every bit as meticulous, the grapes are picked and the wine made in adifferent way. The final blend is made after tasting. The breakdown by grape variety is 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon.

Homemade lobster pasta needed a match and it found it. This is evolving to be a very nice rendition of the Ygrec with subtle crispness of the Sauvignon and the floral goodness of the Semillon. Will keep the other bottles for a few more years
