Had this in a recent blind tasting. Aged for 12 months, very pleasant light berry fruit aromas with slight undertones of earthiness. On the palate cherry and currants with subtle spice. I would consider this one of the lighter bodied CA Pinot’s I have tasted. Soft tannins lingering ending with a mineral tang. Nice, from their 1500 acre Grace Benoit Ranch in Carneros. Consistent quality from recent tastings.

Of its ilk, pretty darn good. More oak than I typically like, but the fruit is subdued and alcohol is not over the top.

After a brown butter old fashioned, I wanted to switch to a light red. I was torn on two Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs I had never heard of, and the server suggested this. Excellent choice! It was so rich, plush, and inviting. Like a mouth full of crushed Luxardo cherries that were balanced out perfectly by subtle oak and mushrooms. It paired perfectly with our Southern Louisiana fare.
