Aglianico from the “prince of Taurasi” presents itself dark as the night. Still very young, shows dark fruit, smoke, crushed rock, flint and dark/bitter cacao. Full bodied, gripping tannins and with good acidity and a very long finish. It gained weight with time. Tecce is known for adding nothing (and subtracting nothing) to the wine and his vineyards are 80+ years old. It is a big but balanced wine that I enjoyed but I think will improve with age.
