The 2018 Etna Rosso opens with a dazzling mix of crushed wild strawberries and savory herbs, complicated by smoky earth tones. It’s juicy, sapid and long, framed by mineral-tinged fruit, spice and floral notes. One of the most consistent and affordable reds coming out of Italy. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2020)

February 2021. C bought from Feast. Really nice Etna Rosso. Tart red fruit with Smokey undertones. Subtle complexity. Enjoyable. Will buy more.

Everybody is raving about Nerello from the etna so had to try! Wine is a lot lighter on its feet than expected, fresh with a good acidity. On opening sour cherry, cranberry and a rosemary note. Not directly a huge fan. After a while more earthy and minerality comes into play and make it a lot more interesting. And even the barrel is somewhat noticeable. So after a hesistant start this wine makes me want to explore more!

Sour cherry, leather, soil, and herbs. Beautiful volcanic ash element to the minerality. Sturdy tannins and high acid. Needed air to get going but really nice once it did. Great structure.

Great wine with seafood. Complex with an elegant, yet light flavour.
