Ridge Vineyards Three Valleys Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend

$34.99

"Spicy oak with strawberry and fig jam to the nose. Medium-to-full bodied, soft mouthfeel and focused cherry fruit, mint. Refreshing acidity on the finish with notes of chapparal." - John Olney, winemaker

On the nose: crushed raspberries, floral bouquet, strawberries, cinnamon, clay. On the tongue: raspberry, graphite, pepper cinnamon, and spice. Nice and approachable Zin. Just enough structure to clear a nice lean bison burger.

Straight up never met a Ridge wine I did not like. 2016 seems to be a hotter year than most with a pronounced ripe fruit nose.. Ripened blackberry. A centered body, with Eucalyptus, sage, ripe bramble fruit, whiff of leather and a touch of cedar box. Such a great wine when you want something delicious and are indecisive. Ridge has never failed. Ever.

Fresh, light and delicious. Worked well as a BBQ wine.

@Austin Hohnke said it well. It’s good. Still too oaky for us, but a good vintage. Total Coppertone.

Outstandingly smooth tannins. Well integrated fruit, savory notes, and acid. Great 15 year old.

One of the smoothest Three Valleys I've ever had. Always such a great value. If you're the type who carries a "house" wine, a great candidate for your resident red.

Juicy, brambly, and richly-fruited, with a healthy dose of American oak. At $25, totally slaps.
