The blueberry toffee of the sherry is delightful on the nose. The dram itself is dangerously drinkable. White pepper, nougat, and sweet sherry fruit all float around each other, girded by an underpinning of funky grain flavors from the cereal base which keeps the whole affair from devolving into candy. The heat on the end (this is cask strength) is beautifully integrated into the whole. More than anything, this reminds me of some of the finer Japanese whiskies currently burning up the market with just the right dose of rustic Scotland.
