Incredibly smooth and an absolute delight. A small taste of eternity.

Happy Easter y’all! I celebrated by opening this dandy Gevry! This bottle marks the most I have ever spent on a single bottle ($75). With the social distancing set in place I (un)fortunately had to drink this one all on my own. I would have rather shared this with others who would also appreciate it…but here we are. I won’t complain about drinking good burgundy all by myself LOL This wine was extremely funky at first with lots of earthy notes: wet leaves, dirt. The nose became fruitier as it opened up. The palate was smooth with lovely tart cherries. It lingered on the palate for quite a while. A nice wine to have on a quarantined holiday and Monty Python & the Holy Grail on tv!
