The cork had some oxygen seepage...there was a balsamic vinegar gent to the palate, next to good wood notes. I’d say I needed to open this particular bottle and probably decant for 4-5 hours, I’d probably hold it (with a good cork that will hold up) for another 10 or so years at least. Still solid tannic structure and grippy acidity that need to mellow more.

Aahhhhh. That nose is rose with ripe red berries. Just superb. Nose for days. Still some silky tannins on the tip and side of tongue. Cassis and slightly chalky. Very yum. 2 hrs decant min.
