Deep ruby red with a little bit of garnet on the edges. Layered nose with quite a bit of earthy characteristics such as forest floor, damp earth, a bit stinky with some gamey notes, mushrooms and a tad dusty. Well rounded with balanced acidity and medium tannins (6/10). Very dry throughout with dark cocoa, plums, dried cherries and herbs, pepper, and darker berries. Full bodied with a long finish. Very impressed with this $25.00 bottle. Drink till 2028. (92+)

Great aromas. But a little stringent. Might be because of all the Aperol Spritz beforehand. But still nothing to write home about.

Completely different from the bottle of the same wine, same vintage, we had only a few weeks ago. Bought at the same time, from the same store - but much better this time. Drank very well with hearty bean soup.

This came out punching, cedary and earthy nose wafting undergrowth. Firm tannins backed dark red fruit, cocoa. As soon as it started to warm up it went flaccid. Like just fell apart. Ughhh.

Nice nose, decent fruit; a little spice. Overall the blend is a little jarring and not all that well executed. Disappointing at $30 (list price) and only a little less disappointing at sale price of $20.
