Juicy, brambly, and richly-fruited, with a healthy dose of American oak. At $25, totally slaps.

Delicious but a little too much American oak day 1. Day 2 should be better.

Not sure if Draper is still making these wines, but Ridge has been so consistent & solid over the years... and this affordable kitchen sink blend is delicious: dark & rich, big extraction here w/mouth coating tannins and gobs of brambly red & black berry fruit. Def some oak in this bad boy, hi ABV as well. Bit unruly right now - probably needs a nap for a few years.

Compared to Napa or Paso, this is as about as “restrained” as Zin gets. I think I would definitely still peg it as New World, but it isn’t the alcoholic fruit bomb Zinfandel can be. Earthy and woody, with black fruit and just the right amount of tannins to be a decent food wine. We paired it with linguine and marinara with turkey meatballs.

5/2020. Nice Zin blend. Full of flavor that feels good on the palate.

Has that distinct Ridge structure and flavor profile. Amazing value, and perfect will grilled food.

Consistently solid mid-range red. 2017 vintage still strong.

Better on day 2. On the nose, dried herbs, dark red fruit, wet rock. In the mouth, red fruit, thyme, minerals, oak. Bright acid, Moderate tannins, medium finish.

Notes of plum, a little raspberry, slightly tannic, slight earth. Overall a delightful wine.
