Burnt nut flavors on the nose. First few sips were citrus enveloped with fruit notes (pear, green apple). Didn’t know what to expect from a grand cru champagne, I love it. Opens up more with time and the acidity becomes much more pronounced. Making some gumbo; needed to get in the mood for cooking gumbo... I feel ready now. “Sometimes it snows in April” and what better pairing for this weather and some soon-to-be delicious gumbo!

Not my favorite. Very neat, a bit fruity, not dry. A very clean taste.

An unusual Champagne. A clear glass bottle is rare and the content is also somewhat different from the ordinary variety. Very dry and minerally with just anise of fruit. Not bad, but not one of my favorites.

A blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier, and 35% Chardonnay. A nice biscuity, toasty champagne that offers up pear and lemon.
