Happy #WorldWhiskeyDay. Light brownish yellow in appearance. Quite a bit of peatiness with some tree fruits and tobacco. Well rounded palate with tree fruits and full bodied. Medium plus length finish.

Always pleasure. She's showing nice apple and floral notes behind the textbook Islay smoke and briny quality.

A happy surprise in a corner of the cellar. Just when I thought it was time to replenish. Nightcap, dear friends?

Smokey but smooth, not for everyone. If you like it smokey this is it. A bit too smokey for me. I enjoy more of the highland and speyside region whisky.

Slightly lighter than the Distillers Edition. Also slightly lighter than it used to. Vanilla, dates, lapsang souchong, brine, tobacco and of course, smoke. Its character changes slightly over the years but it’s still my go-to whisky under $100. Fantastic value for money.
