A special treasure with my in-laws. 12-year black label. According to the label, it was imported in '78 making the distilled date '66. The Beatles were releasing Rubber Soul and Revolver!

Burnished copper color. Nose is full of fruit and spice: blackberry, dried apricots, apple tart, marmalade, and nutmeg. Palate resembles the nose, with the addition of cigar box notes, vanilla, and toasted almonds. Autumn in a bottle! Medium + finish.

Do not mix this fine Scotch with anything. Black Label and its superiors are best tasted on the rocks.
