Luscious, powerful cab that seems more inspired by Oz Shiraz than its Napa neighbours. Creamy cassis. Yummy. So fruitcentric unsure how this will age.

A classic Bordeaux style blend, (older vintages omitted Petit Verdot). Aged for 19 months in French Oak. Deep purple with Ruby edges, aromas of fresh berry fruits with cedar and spice. On the palate cherry, blackberry and blueberry fruit, with sweet and savory oak notes. Drinking well for a 2015, needs decanting. Tannins were smooth and firm, with flinty cacao on the long finish. Faust wines do not disappoint, even when young. Nice! AFav!

Color me impressed by this baby Quintessa. For a 2015, this was amazingly accessible. Personally, I think this is the best Faust vintage I’ve had to date. Nose was more floral than jammy, with violets, blackberries, nutmeg and some blueberries. Well balanced and approachable on the palate, with a nice black cherry/blueberry finish. As a side note, there is a new label change starting with the 2015. Almost looks like a Darioush label

Good stuff. Purple in the glass with aromas of baked fruit, herbs and vanilla. Classic Californian Cabernet flavours of jam, winter spice and berry fruits. Lovely smooth finish with some soft tannins and great lingering flavour. We'd all love to buy Quintessa every weekend but you need a strong budget for that, this is made by the same family with a more approachable price tag, enjoy.

Grapey. Alllmost too grapey, but really hits its mark after breathing. Pat was a fan!
