Double Canyon Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

This is a 90/91 rated Cabernet from Washington. Primarily Cab, there’s a good dollop of Syrah and a tiny bit of PV, Merlot and Malbec. A nose of wood on PNP. Firm and chewy with sweet, juicy oak nuances on the palate. Drying tannins clamp down a bit on the finish, about all I can say on the con side esp when you consider it was $19.

Dark w/ huge blackberry note. Tannin and a little smoke and pencil lead. Tasty.

Very soft plush cab blend. Dark fruit, slight smoke and graphite w/almost non existent tannins very good easy everyday wine. In magnum.

15.5/20 (87/100) Перезрелая чёрная смородина и шоколад в аромате. Аккуратные танины м свежая кислотность. Понятное, типичное новосветское каберне. (19.03.2017) #prowein2017

Comparing Louis Martin this was wasn't as good. It was not as full body or complex. A dry wine (good thing). There was a little bit of a sour finish but not bad. It was definitely flatter than the first. $20
