Drank 1/18/19 at the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux event in Miami. All wines from the 2016 Vintage. Tasting pour, no formal notes taken. Most of these wines are very tight, and will require 5-15 years to really come together. Many will likely improve a few points with time.

Great choice for New Year’s Day, this is really good. Stewed fruit, mushroom, blackcurrant and pepper on the nose. Rich, reddish purple in the glass, looks clean and elegant. Taste is fabulous after only a little air, black cherries, smoke, vanilla and some mineral infused chocolate. Tannins are medium and will allow plenty of further development but this is very enjoyable now. Highly recommended. Happy New year!

This is a rating of the kosher version. Good Bordeaux, though nothing special. Expensive for what it is, but still one of the best kosher wines. A little young to open now.
