Subtly leafy, brambly, minty. Density without weight. Pure tart red fruit and gentle sweetness through the palate. Delicious.

I believe these are lower in alcohol and I dig the effort at restraint, but there was some dormancy in this bottle. Muted fruit, grainy tight tannin. Herbs and earth predominate now. I think this will improve and blossom but it’s a little one note at this point.

Deep dark cherry color moderately translucent. Nose is powerful rich black cherry Pinot. In the mouth rich intense flavors of Pinot. Very reminiscent of a great Pommard except flavors are richer and less tannic. This is like the great Cote des Braine whereas Sonoma Pinot noir is more like Cote des Nuit.
