Of the 3 Juge tonight this was the best. I love where 11 is at in general in the Northern Rhone. Soaring aromas of wet clay, deep black fruits, some black olive, some leather, earth, granite, stones, and so much more. Just a 9.5 on the nose alone. Palate is pure velvet. So complex and mineral with precision and purity. Dazzling finesse and places on the palate like a Burgundy as it is decidedly medium bodied. A dazzling wine.

What a singular wine! All three syrahs this evening are, but none more than juge. This btl was not shy at all and the classic calling card campfire was so strong. The wine is open now, but some youthful Syrah plum still remains under the sauvage.
