Black fruit cobbler with quite a bit more nitrogenous things going on then was to my liking. Definitely a thicker, more full-bodied wine, this one does have both sweet young fruits with some wildflowers, muddy rose petal, but also quite a bit more of your savory and meaty notes as well. I don't think this wine is out of balance based on opinions of the person who opened it. If I was served this blind, I would have guessed it was a Chinon cab franc.

Lots of fruit. Nicely rough around the edges.
