Nose is very nice and aromatic but very natural. Spiced fruit, mulled cherries, flowers and very pungent. Good stony background. Good balance aromatically. Terrific purity and structure. Nice sweetness and very fresh. Long. Still has years to go. But drinking great today. Really impressed by the structure of this 2013. A great debut.

Nose is very complex, with a sweet musky component, cinnamon, ripe cherry, and cracked stones. Opens in a surprisingly lean fashion that initially shows little fruit but then transitions to pure cherry fruit and clean stony notes as the long finish progresses. Light bodied and with crisp acids. Very distinctive style. UPDATE: Night 2: more traditionally Beaujolais-like on the nose, with the sweet muskiness receding and intensely granitic minerality and tart cherries in the fore. In the mouth, the pungency of the tart cherry fruit is almost SweeTart-candy-like. Mouth-watering acids in the long finish. Upping it from a 9.0 to a 9.2.

Fantastic. Everything. Everything you should ask for in a bottle of wine. Twists, turns, ups, downs, all that make sense together, but that you've never seen before. Sorry to get too deep, but this wine is so worth the nerdiness. Lemon and fennel, strawberries and briny cheese, that touch of gaminess you hope will be there. I want this wine every day.

Aging gracefully. Gooseberry, thyme, ripe raspberry. Bordering on effervescent, but with enough weight to stand on its own feet.

Lacking the ripeness and power of the 14, but still has a lot of aromatic and textural intrigue

A lot going on here but it's all tightly coiled, even after 2 nights. You get the sense of the muskiness and cinnamon a previous poster wrote about (Tom C.), allied with the granite and a lively fresh wild flower bouquet, spike it with some cherry and it's all there. I like it, very different than Foillard's other offerings. Though what is similar is the perfect balance of weight, body, acidity and tannin. The score goes higher with a few more years in bottle to loosen things up some.
