This wine is a baby. Nice clean petroleum nose. Almost frizzante-style acidity, very stony finish to the point of clipping. Very good but time should show more on this one.

Elegance and power. A beautifully made wine. Striking minerality, intense stoniness. The fruit comes later: pineapple, nectarine, with saltiness and limeyness at the end. Coming from 49 year old vines, and below 4g RS. Stealing your soul! So intense.

The grand cru site of the Nahe. Though young and the nose being closed off somewhat, this is one of the most polished, elegant, soft edged GGs I’ve ever had. Apple, pear, and stone fruit with slate and volcanic minerality. Everything is in harmony. Try to give this ten more years. Note I drank this over three days and surprisingly the wine appeared closed on day 2 and 3.
