Great stuff. A punchy nose of Rick pools, steel, chalk and salinity. Beautiful balance on the palate with hints of pear and yellow flowers. Crazy good Montee with all the refined edges and angularity of 04

Taken to the Forest Theater in Carmel. Light gold color. Quiet nose. Soft notes of some citrus and sweet fruit. No flaws but overall uninspiring. Seems like Chez Raveneau missed with this one.

‘04 Ravs are epic. Enjoyed alongside MDT 2008, Butteaux 2008 and Dauvissat Clos 2004.

2004 Raveneau Montée de Tonnère. After a half hr open, when you bring your nose to the glass, an amazing vinyl/green banana/mint/chalky limestone nose awaits that is so potent and alluring it evokes some deep-seated, Neanderthal sensory orgasm. It takes a bit of time for the puckering lemon acidity to poke out. Big, broad, and creamy...probably the greatest Chablis I've ever had. So very powerful but not clunky. Wow. The glass residuals are wildly saline and honey/creamy a bit. So, so good

Blinded it and guessed Côte d'Or. So oily and round and lovely. Thank god for the generosity of guests.
