The Aglianico, while only 10% of the blend, really shines through. Pencil shavings, leather, and maybe a hint of Brett dominate the nose at first, though eventually with time and air it opens up to reveal some black currant and black plum. Solidly structured with tannins that held up to a tomahawk ribeye even after all this time in bottle. Fun bottle.
