Jean Luc and Jean Paul Jamet crafted magical Syrahs from the granite and brown schist vineyards in Côte-Rotie. Their wines excite because they perfectly meld the inherent roasted meat and black pepper quality of their appellation with lifted notes of violets and wild blackberries. They are the reference point for traditionally crafted Côte-Rotie. The wines stand apart from many in the appellation because of their minimal new oak influence, and reliance on whole cluster fermentation.
