This blend of Aglianico, Montepulciano, and Barbera made by Steve Matthiasson, who is known for his Napa Valley reds that sell for upwards of $80, is his affordable take on house wine. According to Matthiasson, "Tendu refers to tension, or poise, and we wanted that character to define the wine. It is racy, zingy, alive. It is the wine to drink on a picnic blanket in Dolores Park, to take up to Lake Tahoe, or to toast friends while waiting for the grill to heat up."

Juicy, easy, outdoor drinking with lots of bright red berries.

The Barbera and Aglianico in this little friend would have been quite familiar to many of California’s early wine drinkers.

This is a great wine. There’s a lot of berry flavor but also a strong pomegranate taste through out. Deliciously tart. Juicy and easy to drink!

Lightly floral and fruity, with the barest hint of acidity. Very drinkable and smooth.
