Vincent Dauvissat Les Preuses Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2015

Ratings on Delectable

Lee Pitofsky Delectable Pro

At 6 years young, Dauvissat’s 2015 Preuses is rich and powerful and quick to express its layered core of ripe stone fruits, citrus oils, a crushed oyster shell minerality, damp algae and a sea spray salinity. It expands on the palate over time, lengthening and intensifying. What’s really impressive in the context of the vintage is the wine’s focus and precision. Its richness and ripeness is really well tamed and its fruit expression is so pure. It’s surely to gain more weight and complexity as it ages, but with sufficient air it’s absolutely a joy to drink now.

Tight and quiet initially but shows itself beautifully after a little over an hour. Very balanced and focused with strong minerality. Shows a racy energy and lemon curd, seashells, crushed rock and tropical fruits.
