Completely outclassed by its company. A little overripe and medicinal for my tastes.

Pours mahogany in color. ON THE NOSE: dirt, black cherry, tobacco and eucalyptus. ON THE PALATE: black cherry, BBQ smoke, menthol, black currant. My oh my what a wine. Perfect balance of fruit and tannin structure. Medium body long finish

When last tasted about 3 years ago, the palate left much to be desired. This is finally coming together. The nose shows beautifully with blackberries, prune, black tea leaf, cured meat, black pepper, and cocoa powder. Medium to full, the palate is lush, silky, and powerful. Fresh round acidity and fine grained tannins. Long candied herbal finish. This will continued to evolve and provide drinking pleasure for the next 10-15 years.

Excellent! Lush dark fruit with a silky finish. On sale for $58 is a steal.

With ripe candied black fruits, steeped tea, herbal spices, cured meat, dark chocolate, and forest floor, the nose seems to evolved a bit from a year ago. Not much has changed on the palate. Probably needs another 3-4 years to enter its prime drinking window, but irresistible now.

I could not resist but pull out this big Shiraz to pair with the thick cut of prime New York strip. To me the pairing is as good as it gets. Ripe, but the 2014 vintage seems to have a more vivid acidity. The flavors just hit you like gentle warm gulf waves. I will try to get my hands off my remaining bottles for a while.

Nose of blackberry, fig, dark spice, black tea, and hint of violet and rusty iron. The palate is ripe, slightly raisiny, but with a streaking round acidity that adds tension and balance. Mellow tannins leading to a long bitter sweet finish. Probably the most widely available bottling from the garden series, the Bella always delivers.

Clean across the tongue, with a slight bitter end that adds interest.

Well rounded and approachable, you can’t really go wrong with the Two Hands garden series. Bellas garden is a personal favourite, this is my third vintage. Good nose of dark fruit, strawberries, leather and tar. Visually it’s dark and rich but the palate is slightly lighter than expected with good fruit, spice and liquorice. The finish is unexpected with a slight high tangy, cranberry note which lingers nicely without being acidic. This is drinking nicely.
