Maybe one of the best young Lytton Springs I’ve had. Wonderful and mouth-filling fruit, just enough sinew, spiced, great perfume, balanced oak (albeit young still), fresh acid and earthy charm. Balanced and should stay that way for some time, would love to see at the 10-15 year mark. Ripe black raspberry, wild blackberry jam, yellow peach yogurt, vanilla, dried meat, flowers, cloves, mint and clay. Nice length. A touch wound up but plenty of generosity to drink now.

Ridge Vineyards Lytton Springs 2016: Full-bodied. Great balance. Medium acidity & soft tannins. Dark fruits. Plum. Leather. Oak. Spice. Long finish. Consisting of 69% Zinfandel, 23% Petite Sirah, 6% Carignane & 2% Mataro (Mourvèdre), this red blend has always been a long-standing favorite of mine: Smooth & complex, rich & juicy. Always delivers time & time again. Whenever I see it on a menu, the decision is made easy. All in all, a more than impressive Zinfandel blend; a fantastic wine selection. Great day to all! Cheers
