Cassis nose, dusty and a little burnt. Very ripe fruit on the palate, sweet, but a bit muddy. Decent wine, not the best qpr.

The 2016 'CVR' is an absolutely stunning release from Quilceda Creek. It takes on instant appeal, as the nose is very pretty and perfumed with red rose petals that combine with the marvelous dark and blue fruits. The texture is outstanding with a wonderfully rich and polished mouthfeel. Delicious flavors of ripe red, dark and blue fruit combine with a touch of chocolate to envelope the palate heading into the long finish. While this is already remarkable in its youth, it should also cellar well over the next ten to fifteen years. Drink 2020-2032- 93

My kind of Winter Warmer. This has markedly improved and integrated in the last two years.

So fresh and vibrant. Red and blue fruit extracts encapsulated in spicy oak. It kept evolving and got richer as time progressed. It had this so difficult to describe addictive finish that just keeps you going for more until it is suddenly all gone, way too soon.

Wonderful. Our first time tasting. Enjoyed the balance the most. So well put together, Integrared with long black fruit, medium plus tannins, wonderful acid to keep you wanting more.
