80% century old vine Grenache with the rest Syrah and Mourvèdre. Aromas of fennel and tobacco smoke with a dash of roasted tomato and layers of dark chocolate and black raspberry, a bit tawny port like. Sharp acidity on the palate leads into a slightly vegetal and ashy middle with a moderate finish. Gets better with aeration. Missing the muscularity I expect from Andre Brunel.
