I actually enjoy this more than the technical score I give it...helps the price point is around $35. Need to save some of the Davies Estates Chardonnay for more Harbison tomorrow night. The Laurent Perrier La Cuvée with carry us through the rest of the cheese course. Picks up the dry Lattebusche Piave Vecchio white cheese better than the Davis Estate Chardonnay, as it should! Gives the night both side one & side two of our cheese LP. I will let my previous notes stand. Photos of; the House of Laurent Perrier, Grand Cru signage & vines, caves with A framed bottles to be hand worked by Riddlers and another Grand Cru Vineyard.

I’m partial to Rosé champagne. However, I like this blend of 55% Chardonnay & the rest Pinot Noir quite a lot for the price point. I enjoy their N/V Rosé a little more but, believe this cuvée is a better QPR @ just under $40 over their Rosé. The nose reveals; lemon meringue/chiffon, lime zest/candy, fresh, juicy mango, green melon, pineapple juice, Bosc pear, grapefruit with pith, green apple, vanillin, cream soda, bread/yeast/dough, hints of nougat w/ nuts, ginger notes, sea fossils, saline, grey volcanics, hints of mint/spearmint, dry herbs, excellent chalkiness, wafting white pepper limestone with yellow flowers/lilies, jasmine and field of spring flowers. The mouthfeel is rich & lively. High acidity & CO2. Elegance & beauty flow over the palate. Lemon meringue/chiffon, lime zest/candy, fresh, juicy mango, green melon, pineapple juice, Bosc pear, grapefruit with pith, green apple, vanillin, cream soda, bread/yeast/dough, hints of nougat w/ nuts, caramel notes, ginger notes, sea fossils, saline, gritty, deep, palate penetrating, grey volcanics, hints of mint/spearmint, dry herbs, excellent chalkiness, white spice that bring heat on the forefront of the tongue, limestone with yellow flowers/lilies, jasmine and field of spring flowers. The long finish is polished & very well balanced and persists endlessly. Save a 1/2 glass for a nightcap to pair w/ a Madeleine.

If you like a mostly reductive champagne with good mousse, nicely, bright green apple, white citrus zest, some pear, ripe pineapple, stone fruit, kiwi, vanillin, grey volcanic minerals, penetrating deep white spice, sea fossils/spray, hard baguette crust, sharp chalkiness, Jasmine, yellow lilies, field of spring flowers, crisp acidity and a long, well polished with good balance and length, this is likely for you. As well, smartly priced for good Champange. Photos of; the House of Laurent Perrier, tasting room shots and one of their immaculately groomed Grand Cru Vineyards.

Quite delicious for its price point. I would say it slightly over delivers. Just misses 92. Nice mousse, green apple, golden apple, lemon, lime zest, grapefruit, pineapple, guava, lychees, cream soda, bread dough, soft, moist chalkiness and powdery, soft chalkiness, jasmine, white spring flowers, nice acidity and a rich, polished and well balanced finish. Good pair with our Brie and goats cheese. Photos of; the House of Laurent Perrier, branded iron gates, their storage caves with bottles on A-frames and one of their Grand Cru vineyards.

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Meunier, from several vintages. An updated offering with a nice fresh and crisp style. Pale gold with aromas of citrus and floral. On the palate crisp and dry with apples and lemon notes, savory and complex. Lingering ending with a bit of biscuit character. Very nice!

The more I have of this Cuvée, the more I like it. The nose reveals; lemon parfait, lemon meringue, golden apple with green apple that layers underneath it, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, honeysuckle, marzipan, cream, toast, caramel, hints of ginger, sea shells, verbena, soft chalkiness, yellow lilies, fruit blossoms and spring flowers. The body is soft, rich, creamy mousse and lively in the mouth. The palate is lemon sorbet, lime zest, honeysuckle, pineapple, verbena, golden apple, some green apple, caramel, light spice that brings some palate heat, toast, hints of ginger, marzipan, silvered almond, brioche, beautiful nice chalkiness, sea spray, grey volcanic minerals that penetrate into your palate, yellow lilies, fruit blossoms and spring flowers. The acidy is very nice...well executed, the long, rich, balanced finish is quite enjoyable and persists on the palate for minutes. Photos of, the Champagne House of Laurent-Perrier, their tasting bar, retail shop and beautifully manicured Grand Cru Vineyard.
