This reminds me of what Rombauer aspires to be. Buttery, oaky, and unabashed in style, yet pulls it in just before it gets all out of whack. Marshmallow cream puff is the one note that stands out on the nose. Additional notes of cotton candy, mint and rich lemon cream come through aromatically and on the palate (with some honeyed tropical fruits). Maybe hold and check in with 2-3yrs more of age?

Don’t believe the rating - try it - it is amazing - totally shocked that Argentina produced chard wine tasted like this @David L bringing one in June

Best Argentinian chard we’ve had. Complex and refined. Nose is unbelievable. Reminds us of Mount Eden. I don’t know about a 98 rating from James Suckling though.
